After a leech therapy, the bite areas must be professionally treated (see also treatment and bandaging sets). Due to the long after-bleeding, sufficient suction material must be ensured. The bandage holders developed by Biebertaler Blutegelzucht ensure that the suction material is reliably held in place. The bandage holders are handmade by a German textile manufacturer. The material can be washed at 60°C in a washing machine (93 % cotton, 7 % elastane). The bandage holders are not designed for direct contact with the wound.
